Reform to rescue ISSEMYM, Edomex announces / @Edomex >>>

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Mexican government announced that it will present an initiative to reform the Law of the Social Security Institute of the State of Mexico and Municipalities (ISSEMYM), to rescue it from the financial crisis it faces and which compromises future health services and pension payments.

After appearing before the plenary session of the LXII State Legislature, the Secretary General of Government, Horacio Duarte Olivares, explained that said institute is at a critical point, so a group of public servants is already analyzing the options available to resolve the conflict.

He pointed out that the comprehensive proposal that is sought to be generated involves reviewing the percentage of contribution quotas, but fundamentally the debts of institutions, organizations and municipalities towards ISSEMYM.

“There is an internal group in the state government headed by the Secretary of Finance and the Chief Clerk to review all the options, obviously one of the most important is to review all the debts that various institutions have,” said Duarte Olivares.

In this context, he stressed that the Auxiliary Security Corps of the State of Mexico (CUSAEM) is one of those that owes the most to ISSEMYM.

“It is not blaming the past, but the reality is that in the case of Cusaem several billion pesos are owed, I mean, if we put it in a period of time, that happened before this government, it is not blaming, it is having an objective x-ray,” said the secretary.
