#Tepic, #Nay.- Today, Geraldine Ponce, Mayor of Tepic, held a press conference at the intersection of Insurgentes and Aguamilpa, where she shared important news for the city.
First of all, she highlighted the success of the 21K TPC 2024 Half Marathon, which had the participation of more than 800 runners and generated an economic revenue of 1.5 million pesos. Ponce expressed her gratitude to all those involved in consolidating Tepic as a reference in sports tourism.
The mayor also announced the beginning of the removal of obsolete wiring on Insurgentes Avenue, an action that will be carried out with the support of various companies such as CFE, Telmex, Izzi and Megacable, in order to improve the city’s urban infrastructure.
He also highlighted that the emblematic Angel of the city will be restored, recovering its wings as part of the efforts to revitalize the icons of Tepic.
In terms of culture, Ponce reported on the project to fill the streets with murals that will reflect the local cultural richness, in addition to continuing with the renovation of parks and plazas to provide more recreational spaces for residents.
Finally, the mayor announced the incorporation of 10 new trucks to the Public Cleaning team, with the objective of keeping the city clean and orderly, thus reinforcing the commitment of the municipal government with the quality of life of the people of Tepiqueños.
