“Re-educating means re-educating again; we have to change the stultified way of thinking, that which for a long time generated prejudices, taboos and a misunderstood macho superiority. Fighting and overcoming ingrained ideologies is an arduous task, but one that is necessary and important for the health of our society, because deep down it means generating a new social culture,” said Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez.
The State Governor highlighted that violence is an act contrary to the healthy development of the individual and a trigger for social conflict, especially when it is due to gender, a negative phenomenon recognized in the 2030 Agenda of the United Nations; therefore, the Development Plan of the State of Mexico, in axis 4 of “Social Welfare”, seeks to address this complex issue to take care of collective health.
