The State of Mexico Government and the College of Architects agree to train and certify construction professionals

To guarantee and strengthen the quality of public and private construction projects in the State of Mexico, the Secretariat of Urban Development and Infrastructure (Sedui) and the College of Architects of the State of Mexico signed a collaboration agreement that will allow for the professionalization of Directors Responsible for Construction (DRO) and Co-Directors of Construction.

Thanks to this agreement, the College of Architects offers training and certification to construction professionals. This comprehensive training, which covers current regulations and ethical principles, is essential for their registration or endorsement as DRO or Co-Directors of Construction with the Sedui.

Upon signing the document, Carlos Maza Lara, head of the Ministry of Public Works and Urban Development (Sedui), emphasized that Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez promotes public works as a lever for development, and in this regard, the role of the DROs is fundamental to improving and increasing the urban heritage of families in the State of Mexico and their communities, as they oversee the proper execution and regulatory compliance of each project.

Secretary Carlos Maza Lara indicated that, with the signing of this agreement, the Government of the State of Mexico is consolidating mechanisms that promote the responsible participation of all stakeholders in the construction sector. He stated that public and private works projects must be ethically supervised by professionals with up-to-date knowledge that provides certainty and strengthens trust between citizens and institutions.

José Manuel Trigos López, President of the College of Architects of the State of Mexico, emphasized that they are constantly training and updating construction sector professionals.
