#Tlalnepantla, #EstadoDeMéxico.– Municipal President Raciel Pérez Cruz participated in the presentation of Plan Mexico, led by the President of the Republic, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, where the first 15 Poles of Economic Development for Wellbeing (PODECOBIS), a national strategy to reactivate the economy and promote equitable development in 14 entities of the country, including the State of Mexico, were unveiled.
The Federal Chief Executive explained that the PODECOBIS are conceived as strategic zones with a focus on industrial, logistical, social and environmental development, which will include housing, schools, health centers and public transportation. Their objective is to organize growth and attract companies under a sustainable model. He added that 1.5 of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) will be invested in these actions and it is estimated that 300,000 jobs will be generated for Mexicans.
He also pointed out that the Welfare Poles have the objective of complying with the environmental conditions of natural resources, energy and infrastructure according to the different characteristics of each place in the country.
The presentation was made by the Secretary of Economy, Marcelo Ebrard Casaubón, who explained that this project will be developed in coordination with state and municipal governments, offering modern infrastructure and fiscal incentives to promote investment and generate well-paid jobs.
He announced that the first 15 poles will be located in: Seybaplaya, Campeche; Juarez, Chihuahua; Durango, Durango; Nezahualcoyotl, State of Mexico; Celaya, Guanajuato; a pole dedicated to the Circular Economy in Hidalgo; AIFA, Hidalgo; Morelia, Michoacán; Ciudad Modelo, Puebla; Chetumal, Quintana Roo; Topolobampo, Sinaloa; Altamira, Tamaulipas; Huamantla, Tlaxcala; Tuxpan, Veracruz and Hermosillo, Sonora.
For their installation there will be a series of facilities and fiscal incentives such as promoting investments in machinery and equipment; immediate deduction of 100 percent of investment in new fixed assets; promoting dual training programs; additional deduction of 25 percent in training programs; promoting innovation; research and development initiatives with additional deduction of 25 percent, to mention a few.
For her part, Governor Delfina Gómez Álvarez highlighted that the Eastern Corridor of the State of Mexico, where this cluster is located, concentrates 34 percent of the economically active population of the state, which makes it a priority area for development.
The Mayor of Tlalnepantla, Raciel Pérez Cruz, pointed out that, within this strategy, the Nezahualcóyotl Welfare Pole, located in the East of the Valley of Mexico, is emerging as a trigger for public and private investment for the entire region. This project contemplates an initial investment of 800 million pesos and the generation of more than 4,500 jobs and benefits of more than 1,000,000 jobs.
