#Veracruz, #Veracruz.- Through the Health Trucks strategy and in coordination with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS-Bienestar), the Veracruz government delivered 89,720 units of medications and medical supplies to hospitals and health centers in the Huasteca region this week.
These distribution units traveled along rural roads, mountainous areas, and remote communities, ensuring that the supplies reached the medical and nursing staff serving the population directly, quickly, and without intermediaries.
During this event, the health centers of Callejón Carrizalillo, Tepetzintla, Temoctla, Tantoyuca, San Sebastián, and Mezquite Santa Clara were supplied, as well as the Mexcatla Medical Unit and the Tantoyuca General Hospital, strengthening care in one of the areas with the greatest gaps.
Since the program’s launch, 3,808,432 units of medicines and supplies have been distributed to 41 hospitals and 433 health centers in Pánuco, Tantoyuca, Tuxpan, Poza Rica, Papantla, Martínez de la Torre, Coatepec, Xalapa, Huatusco, Córdoba, Orizaba, Zongolica, Veracruz, Cosamaloapan, San Andrés Tuxtla, Cosoleacaque, Minatitlán, and Coatzacoalcos.
With the Health Trucks, Governor Rocío Nahle García fulfilled one of her main campaign promises: that no community would be excluded from the right to receive free medical care and medicines, reducing delivery times, optimizing logistics, and guaranteeing a constant supply.
