We’re doing well and we’re going to get better: President Claudia Sheinbaum in her First Government Report / @Claudiashein @GobinoMX >>>
#GobiernoFederal, #México.- In her First State of the Nation address, the Constitutional President of the United Mexican States, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, emphasized that Mexico is doing well and will do better, as it is a free, independent, sovereign country with a hardworking and extraordinary people.
“We are doing well and we will do better. I repeat: we are doing well and we will do better. For our people, for our homeland, it is worth giving every hour, every minute, and every breath of our days. We will continue transforming the nation, for the peace and well-being of the people. Rest assured that I will not betray. With the strength of Mexico, of our people, I will walk tirelessly, with rectitude, with courage, and I will always honor the trust placed in me.
“Mexico is a great country with a wonderful people, and today, as the month of our homeland begins, when we proudly commemorate our Independence, we say with strength and joy: we are a free, independent, and sovereign country, with a hardworking and extraordinary people. We are cultural greatness, and we are always and forever servants of the people and the homeland. Long live the greatness of Mexico! «Long live Mexico!» she emphasized in her appearance before the nation from the National Palace.
She emphasized that, for the first time in more than two centuries, a woman leads the nation’s destiny, generating a force in girls, young women, and adults that moves consciences, opens paths, and breaks down barriers that for a long time seemed impossible to break down.
She emphasized that in her first year in office, continuity has been achieved and progress has been made in the Fourth Transformation of Public Life in Mexico, which began in 2018 under former President Andrés Manuel López Obrador and which, by 2024, would have lifted more than 13.5 million people out of poverty. In addition, inequality has also been significantly reduced, with the Gini coefficient, which measures this parameter, falling from 0.426 to 0.391, placing Mexico as the country with the second lowest inequality in the Americas, after Canada.
