#Tlalnepantla#StateOfMexico.- The Municipal Government of Tlalnepantla has delivered the «Connect our Village» English textbooks to 20,000 pupils across various educational institutions, with the key aim of expanding children’s knowledge. This significant effort provides young learners with the essential tools required to master the global language, thereby enriching their educational journey from an early stage. The initiative underscores the local authority’s commitment to equipping its youngest citizens with competencies vital for the modern world.

During a visit to the Miguel Hidalgo primary school in San Lucas Patoni, Municipal President Raciel Pérez Cruz highlighted the municipality’s strong educational trajectory. He pointed out that Tlalnepantla’s average educational attainment currently stands at ten years and four months, roughly equating to the third semester of high school. Nevertheless, Pérez Cruz stated, «we have set the goal that, in the medium term, and with the collective effort of parents and pupils, it will soon be one of the municipalities to achieve the higher education level

The President commented that beyond the provision of the English language books, the Municipal Government is allocating resources to educational institutions to cover costs for caretakers, internet access, and even the water service charges. «We do this with the determination of improving the conditions in which our pupils study,» he affirmed. The authorities have also extended these benefits to other schools, including the Andrés Molina Enríquez Primary in Unidad Habitacional Barrientos and the Sor Juana Inés de la Cruz Primary in Unidad Habitacional Tabla Honda, among others.

The Director of the Miguel Hidalgo primary, Yolanda Pérez Falcón, praised the scheme, noting that the textbooks will greatly strengthen the pedagogical aspect of second language learning, an area indispensable in this era of transformation and globalisation. Furthermore, the Municipal Director of Welfare, Jezabel Delgado Flores, confirmed that the books, aimed at pupils from third to sixth grade, were thoroughly reviewed by UNAM’s FES Iztacala language department. This comprehensive analysis concluded the material possessed the necessary pedagogical tools to meet the learning challenges facing pupils at the secondary level.
