#SecretaríaDeCultura#México.- The Secretariat of Culture of the Government of Mexico, through the National Coordination for Children’s Cultural Development – Alas y Raíces, the National Centre for the Arts (Cenart), and the Community Culture Pavilion, successfully presented the XXV Feria de las Calacas. This significant event served as a vibrant space for art, memory, and tradition, fostering a dialogue with the imagination of children, adolescents, and adults alike, upholding a cultural commitment to intergenerational learning and enjoyment.

Over 55,000 attendees flocked to Cenart and, for the first time, the Community Culture Pavilion on 1st and 2nd November 2025 for the fair’s 25th edition. It has become an established highlight of the Día de Muertos commemorations, offering a yearly display of creativity and festivity for all, filled with laughter, vibrant colours, and the traditional aromas of cempasúchil, copal, and pan de muerto. The event commenced with a colourful parade of families, costumed children, and adults exploring the thematic tents and forums, eager to discover the prepared surprises.

The event’s success resonated with the attendees. Alejandra, 25, shared, “It’s the first time I’ve come to the Fair and I loved everything, from the stories to the workshops. What I like most are the offerings, so colourful and detailed they seem to come to life.” Meanwhile, Daniela, 41, noted how her children “had a lot of fun with ¡Muertos… pero de risa! and with Los tres monjes risueños. It was a space where everyone participated,” underscoring the fair’s inclusive and interactive spirit that blends laughter with profound cultural expression.
