#MedicalExcellence #HospitalExpansion —– #MexicanSocialSecurityInstitute#Mexico.- In a definitive step towards health sovereignty and institutional probity, the Technical Council of the Mexican Social Security Institute has ratified the construction of two major hospitals and a primary care unit. Presided over by Director General Zoé Robledo, this strategic initiative encompasses a 260‑bed facility in Morelia, a 72‑bed hospital in Manzanillo, and a medical unit in Tlajomulco de Zúñiga. These projects, described as paramount to the National Development Plan, represent a multi‑billion peso investment designed to expand clinical capacity and ensure medical equitability across the western regions of the republic.

The Morelia project, situated in the Villas del Pedregal district, is poised to augment healthcare access and consolidate specialised services for over 767,000 citizens with a comprehensive 3.85‑billion‑peso budget. Under the guidance of Borsalino González Andrade, Director of Administration, this regional hub will provide advanced treatments including chemotherapy, dialysis, and intensive care. This development aims to bridge the gap in secondary care, ensuring that high‑tech medical infrastructure meets the growing demands of the Michoacán metropolitan area.

In Colima, the new Manzanillo hospital represents a judicious allocation of 1.87 billion pesos to serve a population exceeding 170,000 residents along the Miguel de la Madrid Boulevard. This facility will integrate innovative technologies and modern imaging departments to streamline patient diagnostics and enhance the institutional image. The site is expected to function as a catalyst for regional growth, offering everything from emergency surgery to neonatal care within a state‑of‑the‑art environment.

This expansion reflects a resolute commitment to universal health coverage, modernising the patient experience through superior architectural standards and medical probity. By shortening the distance between population growth and service availability, the institute seeks to nullify bureaucratic delays in treatment. «This will contribute to the modernisation of our facilities», stated Borsalino González Andrade, confirming that the federal government remains steadfast in its mission to deliver world‑class clinical excellence to every family.
