Mexican nanotechnology could provide oxygen and energy to the moon

#SecretaríaDeInfraestructuraComunicacionesYTransporte. – The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transport (SICT), through the Mexican Space Agency (AEM), informed of a Mexican development that could provide a solution to the global challenge of providing oxygen and electricity to the Moon and other celestial bodies.

AEM’s Director General, Salvador Landeros Ayala, explained that this invention, called «Bio Panel Solar Greenfluidics» (BPS-Greenfluidics), was presented at the «SmartBiz Expo» in Hong Kong, and has already generated great interest in countries such as Canada, Arab Emirates, China, India and Singapore.

He emphasized that Mexico’s talent is recognized globally, to which is added this development of the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de México (UAEMéx) of the «Bio-inspired Nanotechnology», that is, based on the biology of a microalgae native to that entity.

The technology is based on hundreds of living organisms in a panel or box, where they generate electricity and oxygen, which also clean the air, so the regenerative capacity of BPS-Greenfluidics towards our planet, is of great importance.
