In San Miguel de Allende, to reinforce emergency response protocols and protect the safety of citizens, the Municipal Civil Protection Council is installed

#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Guanajuato. – Always in favor of the citizens, and with the objective of preventing any contingency, the municipal government of San Miguel de Allende formally installed the Municipal Council of Civil Protection.

The objective: to prevent and reduce the risk of disasters, as well as to promote a culture of prevention among the people of San Miguel de Allende, to promote training, special programs and disaster prevention, as well as to unify criteria and analyze statistics of incidents, among other attributions, explained Mauricio Trejo Pureco, municipal president of San Miguel de Allende.

At this event, they highlighted the importance of civil protection and the integrated risk management model for a safe municipality, and which is returning to the good old days.

After this Inauguration of the members of the Municipality, the representatives of institutions external to the Municipal Government (Emergency Corps, state and federal security agencies, etc.) will be summoned to a Second Session, at an upcoming date, so that they may also actively participate.

Prevention is everyone’s responsibility, which is why the tasks to be undertaken by this administration will always be aimed at protecting the lives of the people of San Miguel in the event of a catastrophe, concluded Trejo Pureco.
