President highlights relevance of the fourth section of Chapultepec Forest

#GobiernoDeMéxico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador affirmed that the fourth section of the Chapultepec Forest «will be first class, one of the best in the world».

In a morning press conference he recalled that it will be a cultural, recreational and ecological center in Mexico City.

The complex of museums and archeological sites will be completed by the end of 2023.

This land belonged to the Secretariat of National Defense and he defended himself from the ambition that prevailed on the part of some groups in the past neoliberal governments to make exclusive subdivisions.

The President emphasized that the Government of the Fourth Transformation decided not to sell it but to turn it into a public space with museums and historical sites.

Next week will offer more details on the matter the head of the Government of Mexico City, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, and the artist Gabriel Orozco.

«It is something very beautiful, something important (…) and in that set are Los Pinos, which were opened so that people could enjoy those spaces that were completely closed,» he stressed.
