New curriculum framework for Basic Education will establish a comprehensive educational model: Delfina Gómez Álvarez

#SecretaríaDeEducaciónPública.- The assemblies for the analysis of the study plan and programs for the design of the Free Textbooks at the basic level are developed in a transversal manner with the purpose of establishing an integral educational model that goes from initial education to the bachelor’s degree level, said the Secretary of Public Education, Delfina Gómez Álvarez.

She emphasized that the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) would have no reason to exist if the needs, criticisms and reflections of teachers were not heard. She pointed out that the essential and fundamental part of the Ministry is the country’s teachers.

Participating virtually in the assembly, held in Colima, he explained that in this process the different actors of the sector converge, but the most important thing is to listen to the experiences and needs of the teachers in front of the group.

«It is important not only to see the contents of plans and programs, but also the pedagogical tools: textbooks, the practices that we are going to have to work on; and there is the need to design or evaluate the graduate profile of normal schools,» she added.
