During his working visit to the clinics in Apan, Tepeapulco and Tulancingo, Hidalgo, the head of the institute pointed out that so far he has already visited 44 medical units and three Estancias para el Bienestar y Desarrollo Infantil (EBDI’s) in this and the states of Mexico, Tabasco and Puebla; «we will not rest until we visit the 1,75 that exist throughout the country, because the objective is to improve and provide a quality health service that will allow us to improve the quality of our services. We will not rest until we visit the 1,75 that exist throughout the country, because the objective is to improve and provide quality health services that allow us to reinforce prevention,» he added.
In his third visit to the state of Hidalgo, before medical and administrative personnel, he emphasized that the health system in Mexico needs to move towards prevention, «that is where Issste has to fight the great battle, directing its efforts towards the first level, providing sufficient human resources and the necessary equipment so that care is innovative, especially in those clinics that are far from hospitals».
During his visit to the Family Medicine Clinic in Tulancingo, where a two thousand meter expansion project has been halted due to breach of contract, the general director said he will review the legal situation of the project and continue with the work if it is feasible.
