Announcement of the work «Introduction to copper engraving by Manuel de la rueda 1761, facsimile edition»

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Ministry of Culture and Tourism promotes art learning by complementing its activities with different disciplines; such is the case of the Museo de la Estampa, where workshops, talks and book presentations are offered around the exhibition it houses.

Thus, the public shared an afternoon in which the book «Introducción para gravvar en cobre de Manuel de la Rueda 1761, edición facsimilar» was presented, a text by Octavio Fernández, who analyzes, from a historical viewpoint, the development of engraving and printmaking produced in the 20th century and up to the first decade of the 21st at the Escuela Nacional de Artes Plásticas (ENAP), the former Academia de San Carlos, a period in which this institution participated in defining the cultural profile of modern Mexico.

The pages that make up the book show information about human intelligence and the way to solve the existing problems in the universe, also about everything that man produces, which is a matter of chance, because there is always a mathematical principle.

In addition, it tells the technique to make burins, how to represent the faces of man, woman and child, as well as detailing a curtain, a shoe among objects, all this to take care of the work and not to stain or dirty it.
