President talks with Jean-Luc Mélenchon, former left-wing candidate for French president

#GobiernoDeMéxico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador had a telephone conversation with Jean-Luc Mélenchon, candidate for the French presidency in the last elections.

In a message on his social networks, the chief executive commented that, having obtained 22 percent of votes as France’s candidate, he will not participate in the second round this weekend, in which only Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen will be candidates.

«I was very pleased that it was the young people who voted the most for my left-wing partner. France has a future», said the president regarding the elections in that country.
