Edomex undertakes preventive actions before the onset of the rainy season

#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Secretary General of Government, Ernesto Nemer Alvarez, highlighted that for the state administration the priority is to protect the integrity and patrimony of the people of the State of Mexico, for which reason preventive, support, aid and recovery actions are planned, implemented and supervised in the event of emergency situations.

In this sense, he informed about the prevention actions that have been carried out in the State of Mexico for this rainy season and tropical cyclones that began on May 15 for the Pacific Ocean coast and will begin on June 1, for the Atlantic Ocean, which will conclude on November 30.

«Since the beginning of his administration, Governor Del Mazo has made the protection of the lives, integrity and patrimony of the families of Mexico a priority,» he said.

Accompanied by Samuel Gutiérrez Macías, General Coordinator of Civil Protection and Integral Risk Management of the entity, as well as Jorge González Bezares, Executive Vocal of the Water Commission of the State of Mexico (CAEM), the Secretary General of Government added that the National Meteorological Service of the National Water Commission (Conagua), estimates that 16 to 21 tropical cyclones will occur in the Atlantic Ocean and 14 to 19 in the Pacific Ocean.
