#Monterrey, #NuevoLeón, – With the planting of more than 30 trees native to the area, this Tuesday concludes the Monterrey Climate Action Week, with which various actions were carried out to commemorate International Environment Day.

At the same time, the Gobierno de Monterrey announced the tree planting plan for June 2022, which contemplates an investment of 1.5 million pesos for the planting of 1,551 specimens.

This reforestation program called «Monterrey Adopts a Tree» is one of the climate action goals for the city within the framework of the Green Agreement, explained the Municipal President, Luis Donaldo Colosio Riojas.

«The Green Agreement for Monterrey is more than an event, it is a philosophy for this administration, it is that integration of the private initiative, the public sector, academia, but above all of the citizenship to recover little by little our public space through environmental remediation, we have a very disproportionate city in green areas, with a deficit of 250 thousand trees», detailed the Edil.
