Salud Edoméx will maintain permanent communication with resident medical groups

#EstadoDeMéxico.- With the commitment to maintain constant communication in order to exchange points of view regarding the performance of interns and residents in hospital units, the heads of the Secretary of Health and the Human Rights Commission of the State of Mexico (Codhem), Francisco Fernández Clamont and Myrna García Morón, respectively, met with medical groups.

The also General Director of the Health Institute of the State of Mexico (ISEM), highlighted that there are Regulations for the Organization and Operation of Medical Residencies, which are based on the Mexican Official Standard NOM-EM-001-SSA3-2022, so that the specialists in training can be a support in the important task of attending to the wellbeing of the population.

After listening to the representatives of the civil associations Causa de Salud y Bienestar en Nosotrxs and Colectivo Médicxs en Formación, Andrés Castañeda, José Ramón Cossío, Frida Romay and Mauricio Sarmiento, as well as the lawyer-professor of the Faculty of Medicine of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and partner of Consultoría Cossío y Sánchez SC, added that the common objective is for interns and residents to have a good stay in the institution’s hospitals, to graduate well trained and with experience to be inserted in the public or private service.
