IMSS-BIENESTAR model increases basification of health personnel and operation of hospitals in Nayarit, Tlaxcala and Colima

#InstitutoMexicanoDelSeguroSocial.- The Director General of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo, informed that the Health for Wellbeing Plan in Nayarit, Tlaxcala and Colima is making progress in the basification of healthcare personnel, with the operation of medical units and hospitals under the IMSS-BIENESTAR model, in training actions, dignification of spaces and supply of medicines, as well as the beginning of the work of the multidisciplinary team in 15 hospitals in Sonora.

During the morning conference led by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador at the National Palace, the IMSS General Director pointed out that in Nayarit 896 out of 902 workers are about to receive their base and 163 specialist doctors are already working in the hospitals, that is, 80.6 percent coverage.

He pointed out that 100 percent of the units are operating in the entity: 12 hospitals, three Medical Specialty Units (UNEME) and 261 Health Centers. In addition, 100 percent of the hospital personnel and 75 percent of the health units have been trained in the IMSS-BIENESTAR operating model.

Zoé Robledo emphasized that since April 2, 54.1 million pesos have been invested in infrastructure and actions to dignify spaces for waterproofing, maintenance of bathrooms, perimeter walls, among other actions, with 92 percent progress.
