ASA Network recorded a 38.3% increase in passenger traffic in the first half of 2022

#SecretaríaDeInfraestructuraComunicacionesYTransporte.- In the first half of 2022, the air terminals that make up the Airports and Auxiliary Services Network (ASA) served 1,811,721 passengers, 38.3% more than the 1,310,039 users in the same period of 2021.

The increase in passenger traffic from January to June 2022 is seen in 16 of the 19 airports in the ASA Network: Nuevo Laredo, 96.1%; Chetumal, 66.1%; Loreto, 58%; Puebla, 47.1%; Puerto Escondido, 45. 4%; Campeche, 40%; Ciudad Obregón, 37.5%; Colima, 27.3%; Tepic, 26.6%; Ciudad Victoria, 17.6%; Ciudad del Carmen, 13.4%; Tehuacán, 12.9%; Tamuín, 8.9%; Uruapan, 6.4%; Guaymas, 6.3%; and, Matamoros, with 2% growth.

In the same period, 65 thousand 515 were the air operations carried out in the 19 airports of the ASA Network, achieving a total growth of 7.1%, compared to 61 thousand 189 in 2021, being the terminals of: Tamuín, Puebla, Puerto Escondido, Chetumal, Tehuacán, Loreto, Poza Rica, Colima, Tepic and Ciudad del Carmen those that recorded the highest percentage increase in operations.

The volume of cargo moved, from January to June of this year, amounted to 5 million 825 thousand 134 kilograms, 270.6% more than that recorded in 2021, when 1 million 571 thousand 788 kilograms were moved. The airports leading the growth figures in air cargo volume are: Puebla, with an increase of 389.6%; Colima, 46.1%; Campeche, 39.4%; Puerto Escondido, 29.8%; Ciudad del Carmen, 16.2%; Matamoros, 6.8%; and, Ciudad Obregón, which managed to mobilize 3.1% more cargo than in the same period of 2021.
