SICT initiates four Strategic Infrastructure Works in Quintana Roo

#SecretaríaDeInfraestructuraComunicacionesYTransporte.- The Government of Mexico, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT), announced the execution of four strategic projects in the city of Cancun, Quintana Roo, with a total investment of 7,262.4 million pesos for the Nichupté Vehicular Bridge, Luis Donaldo Colosio Boulevard, Airport Distributor and Chac Mool Avenue.

During the tour led by the President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, accompanied by the head of the SICT, Civil Engineer Jorge Arganis Diaz-Leal, the infrastructure works began with a goal of 26.7 kilometers and a distributor that will benefit the second most visited site in the country and the first with beach resorts.

The Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, Arganis Diaz-Leal, emphasized that the growth of vehicular traffic has made it necessary to modernize the main roads of the city of Cancun to offer residents and tourists a smooth and safe mobility.

«The President of the Republic instructed us -at the beginning of this year- to elaborate and present the best alternatives, with the purpose of undertaking four infrastructure works, which are starting today».
