Mexico’s SICT released five highways and a bridge affected by the earthquake registered last September 19 / @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) released five highways and a bridge in Michoacán, Colima, Oaxaca and Jalisco, affected by yesterday’s 7.7 magnitude earthquake with epicenter in Coalcomán, Michoacán.

After a supervision to evaluate the state of the federal highway network, airports, railways and main bridges throughout the country, it was confirmed that the damage was moderate.

Regarding highways, in Michoacán, at kilometer 228 of the Pátzcuaro-Lázaro Cárdenas-Siglo XXI highway, the SICT removed a rock that was in the road.

SICT personnel detected some cracks and landslides on the Playa Azul-Manzanillo highway, Playa Azul-Michoacán-Colima state border section, kilometer 106+000 and from 192+000 to 229+600.

The contractor, in charge of the Routine Maintenance of Sections, is carrying out work to clean the road surface so that there is continuous traffic flow. Currently there is only one lane of traffic.
