#Toluca, #Edoméx.- Global Warming is a phenomenon that affects all regions of the planet with increasing intensity, therefore, the Government of Toluca immediately promotes the actions of the Municipal Climate Change Program (PROMACC), which was presented in City Council by the United Commissions of Environment and Monitoring the Implementation of the 2030 Agenda and approved unanimously.

With this decision, Toluca becomes the first municipality to publish its Municipal Climate Change Program (PROMACC) and to assess climate vulnerability at the local level.

The purpose of this instrument is to lay the groundwork for implementing specific adaptation measures at the municipal level and to propose actions to slow down greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming.

The document presented has an updated inventory of greenhouse gas emissions, which had the technical support of the State Institute of Energy and Climate Change.

According to the data presented, in Toluca, greenhouse gas emissions increased 29% in almost a decade, from 4,328.71 to 5,578.2 Gigagrams of carbon dioxide equivalent, with the energy sector being the largest contributor with 93.36%; followed by the waste sector with 5.7%; industrial processes with 0.64% and agriculture,
