#Events.- For the Huichol, the híkuri is a ritual plant that represents the spiritual ties with the earth and the universe. With the thunderous blowing of a seashell, the magic begins. The smell of copal is in the air and announces the greeting to the four winds: north, south, east, west. With raised hands comes the salute to the sky, then to the earth and finally to the center to let the energy flow from head to toe, opening the way to a cosmological experience.

To elevate the spirit through peyote, to return from a trance and transform it into art, the Huicholes face a whole process from a young age.

They walk along the desert and search among all the biznagas of the semi-desert to find it right at their feet.
Then comes the gathering around the «grandfather fire» and the salute to the four seasons. All this with their typical costumes, hats from which fall colorful beards of yarn and some fractals also of yarn made in wooden sticks, called Ojos de Dios (Eyes of God).
