#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- The construction and operation of the Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA) has brought with it a large number of jobs to this municipality, as well as an increase in formal businesses.

During 2022, which recently concluded, 3,865 formal jobs were created in Tecámac, representing an increase of 287% over the previous year. It is expected that with the increase to 200 airport operations per day, more jobs and productive units will be created in 2023 than in 2022.

Interviewed on the matter, the Municipal President, Mariela Gutiérrez Escalante, indicated that «Tecámac is the new development pole of the State of Mexico».

She reiterated her gratitude to the President of the Republic, Mr. Andrés Manuel López Obrador, for the construction of this air terminal in the northeast of the state.
On the other hand, AIFA had an average of 60 operations per day, but ended 2022 with 120 and it is expected that in 2023 these will reach 200 operations per day.

All of the above favors the economic activity of Tecámac, which ranks 13th in the State of México, representing 2.52% of the businesses installed in the state.
