Relocation in México, a growth opportunity for the 32 states: Ministry of the Economy / @SE_mx >>>

#SE.- The Ministry of Economy held a working meeting with the Secretaries of Economic Development of the states, in order to share joint strategies to take advantage of the relocation of new industries and reduce inflation of basic food basket products.

The meeting was chaired by the Secretary of Economy, Raquel Buenrostro Sánchez, who highlighted the importance of working together through an inter-sectorial dialogue. She also emphasized the agency’s commitment to facilitate and support investment projects through a one-stop shop for investors.

«Mexico is in the best moment, due to its geopolitical position, which allows us to generate development poles in the different regions of the country,» assured Buenrostro Sánchez.

She explained that there are five industrial sectors that will be boosted by the relocation, which are: semiconductors, automotive (electromobility), electrical and electronics, medical and pharmaceutical devices, and agribusiness.

The Minister of Economy called on the state secretaries to draw up a work plan for the next two years, which should include a diagnosis of the productive vocation of each entity, simplifying procedures so that they can be standardized at a national level. He reiterated that «all of them are potential candidates to receive investments».
