From January to April 2023 Red de Aeropuertos y Servicios Auxiliares increased passenger traffic by 9.2% / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- During the first four months of 2023, the Airports and Auxiliary Services Network (ASA) increased passenger flow by 9.2% compared to the same period in 2022, serving 1.3 million 300 thousand 682 travelers, compared to 1 million 190 thousand 640 users registered in the same period in 2022.

The air terminals of the ASA airport network that registered the greatest increase in passenger traffic in the January-April 2023 period were: Nuevo Laredo, with 189.1%; Matamoros, 33.7%; Loreto, 25.8%; Puebla, 19.9%; Tepic, 18.9%; Colima, 18.6%; Puerto Escondido, 17.7%; Guaymas, 14.1%; Uruapan, with 4.5%; and, Ciudad Victoria, with 4.1%.

In terms of airport operations, the terminals of the ASA Network presented a positive variation of 1.2%, reaching 43,671 operations, with 7 terminals showing the greatest increase in this area: Nuevo Laredo, with 22.5%; Guaymas, 21.5%; Puebla, 18.5%; Tepic, 12.6%; Uruapan, 7.1%; Loreto, 1.8%; and Ciudad del Carmen, with 0.4%.

The volume of air cargo moved in the first four months of 2023 totaled two million 49 thousand 931 kilograms, with the airports of Chetumal, Ciudad del Carmen and Ciudad Obregón handling the greatest volume of cargo and thus obtaining the highest growth: 24.3%, 12.4% and 3.1%, respectively.

It is important to note that at the end of April, two ASA Network terminals inaugurated air routes to the city of Monterrey: Matamoros and Ciudad Victoria. These new frequencies are operated by the airline AEURUS, with nine-passenger Cessna Gran Caravan EX aircraft.
