Sectur and Guerrero install the Organizing Committee for the «Tianguis Turístico México 2024 Acapulco» / @TorrucoTurismo @SECTUR_mx >>>

#SECTUR.- Also accompanied by the Secretary of Tourism of Guerrero, Santos Ramírez Cuevas, and the Mayor of Acapulco, Abelina López Rodríguez, the head of the Ministry of Tourism (Sectur) also highlighted that, for the first time, the Association of Secretaries of Tourism (Asetur), presided by the head of Sectur Nayarit, Juan Enrique Suárez del Real Tostado, participates in the installation of the Organizing Committee of the main tourism fair in Latin America.

He highlighted the achievements of the 47th edition of the Tianguis Turístico, which took place in Mexico City from March 26-29 of this year, breaking all the records of the 46 previous editions, with the participation of 2,347 buyers from 1,389 companies, as well as 5,770 exhibitors from 1,429 companies, attendees from 91 countries from the five continents, and 88,476 business appointments.

Torruco Marqués added that the Tianguis Turístico 2023 was innovated with the participation of the countries that make up the Mundo Maya Organization with Mexico: Belize, El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras; the airline pavilion, as well as the Mayan Train that, starting in December, will benefit the states of Chiapas, Tabasco, Campeche, Yucatán and Quintana Roo. In addition, it was the third inclusive edition, which highlights accessibility for people with disabilities in the tourism sector.

«Today the National Organizing Committee and the Mirror Committee were formed, where all the authorities of the three levels of government are present. New things are coming, and we will continue working because it will be a great moment for Guerrero and Acapulco,» concluded Torruco Marqués.
