#SEP.- The Ministries of Public Education (SEP) and Labor and Social Security (STPS) signed a collaboration agreement to strengthen the inclusion of students from Mexico’s higher education institutions (HEI) in the program Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro (JCF) and the National Employment Service (SNE), to promote their access to the labor market.

During the signing of the agreement, held at SEP’s facilities, the Undersecretary of Higher Education, Luciano Concheiro Bórquez, ratified the Mexican Government’s commitment to guarantee employment, education, health and well-being through the creation of jobs, but above all, access to Higher Education as a human right for Mexico’s young people.

He explained that the central point of this agreement is to promote inter-institutional work to articulate the labor market, the educational offer and economic support so that young people have certainty in their present and a future perspective.

He pointed out that, to achieve this, SEP and STPS will disseminate updated information through their digital platforms: National Registry of Higher Education Options (ReNOES) renoes.sep.gob.mx; the program Jóvenes Construyendo el Futuro jovenesconstruyendoelfuturo.stps.gob.mx; Portal del Empleo.gob.mx/PortalDigital and Observatorio Laboral (OLA) observatoriolaboral.gob.mx.

He added that the agreement complies with the ReNOES operating guidelines, in which young people who have graduated from Higher Secondary Education will find 1,842 options to continue their studies in public and private IES throughout the country, as well as Higher Education graduates choosing research and postgraduate centers.
