#Toluca, #Edoméx.- With the objective of strengthening Toluca as an inclusive and respectful city, the municipal government presided by Raymundo Martínez Carbajal, through the Municipal Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office, carries out an initiative focused on the promotion of the Human Rights of persons with disabilities.

The staff of the Ombudsman’s Office gave a talk on the Human Rights of Persons with Disabilities and the White Cane Workshop, aimed at students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Preschool Education of the Normal School No. 1 of Toluca.

The main objective of these activities is to promote awareness, empathy and understanding towards people with disabilities, thus promoting a more inclusive and respectful society, so during the talk fundamental issues related to the rights and needs of this sector of the population were addressed, highlighting the importance of ensuring their full exercise and participation in all spheres of life.

In addition, through the White Cane Workshop, participants were provided with a practical and enriching experience to understand the challenges and obstacles faced by visually impaired people in their daily lives and, thus, raise awareness to promote inclusion in their future work as teachers.

The Municipal Human Rights Ombudsman’s Office reaffirms its commitment to continue promoting and protecting the fundamental rights of all people, especially those in vulnerable situations, so the municipal government will continue working to Fill Toluca with Life.
