#Iztapalapa, #CDMX.- Clara Brugada Molina, Mayoress of Iztapalapa, inaugurated the State Day against Climate Change in collaboration with SEMARNAT, National Institute of Ecology and Climate Change and the National Commission of Natural Protected Areas. «I thank Secretary María Luisa Albores González for opening this space for reflection in this UTOPIA» she said, a place where science, technology, art and architecture come together to raise awareness about Climate Change and its effects on lives and environment.

Climate change is a serious problem that endangers our survival and that of other species, generating water shortages, ocean pollution, deforestation, heavy rains and droughts, such as those already occurring in some regions of Mexico. In addition, it especially affects people living in poverty. It is not only an environmental problem, but also a social, educational and health problem. Therefore, it is imperative to act now to stop the degradation of our ecosystems and address economic inequality along with climate change, prioritizing equitable development.
