With the sum of efforts and will, the objective of moving cargo handling to AIFA will be achieved: SICT / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Secretary of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation, Jorge Nuño Lara, assured that with the sum of efforts and will, the objective of harmoniously moving the handling of dedicated cargo from the Mexico City International Airport (AICM) to the Felipe Angeles International Airport (AIFA) will be achieved, with medium and long-term benefits for this sector.

He said this while participating in the event to welcome the inaugural flight of Estafeta’s operations at AIFA, where he pointed out that this new logistics center not only advances towards a more orderly and beneficial direction for cargo operations, but also supports the aeronautical and airport sector to be renewed and stronger, as the country deserves.

Nuño Lara emphasized that, as of today, Estafeta, as well as other cargo companies that have joined AIFA, will be able to take advantage of a more direct entrance to the fiscal precincts, strategic proximity to logistics developments within the polygon, and a capacity for future expansion in an orderly manner that will undoubtedly represent savings in time and operating costs.

He recalled that, as part of a strategy, the Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) invited the airline industry to draw up a joint plan to «see how» it was possible to meet the goal of relocating cargo operations out of the AICM, and move to the destination airports.
