#ISSSTE.- For the third consecutive year, the Regional Hospital «Gral. Ignacio Zaragoza» of the Instituto de Seguridad y Servicios Sociales de los Trabajadores del Estado (Issste) was recognized as one of the best hospitals in Mexico and Latin America, according to the HospiRank https://acortartu.link/a1rls study by Global Healt Intelligence, a leader in healthcare market research in Latin America.

The hospital’s director, Carlos de Jesús López Morales, said: «We are very pleased with this recognition. It is a source of pride for all the healthcare and administrative professionals who work at this hospital to be ranked among the best in the country and the region. But, above all, that this translates into providing quality care to our patients, who are the focus of all the discussion.

This year we were distinguished with fourth place in the list of national hospitals best equipped for primary diagnosis and sixth place in hospitals with the greatest capacity to receive patients, he said.

He thanked the Issste authorities, headed by the Director General, Pedro Zenteno Santaella, who have been concerned about strengthening the infrastructure for medical diagnostics, which benefits the beneficiaries.

He informed that this hospital has 645 beds, of which 365 are census beds. «We have been favored with the Issste’s equipment program and we already have new generation equipment such as a 128-slice tomograph that is in the process of being installed, a magnetic resonator, to which we will add one more that is about to arrive; two new X-ray rooms and equipment; a recently created, fully equipped mastography room,».
