#SEP.- The Ministry of Public Education (SEP), through the National Institute for Adult Education (INEA), selected 41 thousand participants from three calls issued, to support as advisors in the educational processes of the population that does not know how to read or write or does not have primary and/or secondary education.

The calls were published in coordination with the State Adult Education Institutes (IEEA) and the Operation Units (UO), where 55 thousand people competed to participate in the INEA’s Voluntary Persons Benefiting from the Subsidy (PVBS) program.

Of those selected, 70.8 percent are women; with respect to the educational level of those accredited as PVBS, 22 thousand have completed high school and 14.4 percent have completed higher education.

The 41 thousand selected will receive financial support as a subsidy for their educational work at INEA throughout the country, providing care, advice and support to thousands of people who need it.

Through the Adult Education program, INEA seeks to reduce the educational gap among people 15 years of age and older, offering literacy, primary and secondary education services completely free of charge. To this end, it relies on the support of volunteers who help in the educational work and accompaniment of thousands of men and women who require it.
