Transportation and rail discounts for teachers and students during summer vacations / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) informs that during the summer vacation period, discounts of 25% and 50% will be in effect for teachers and students, respectively, who wish to travel by federal passenger transportation or use the railroad service.

The fare reductions will be applied during the entire vacation cycle established by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), which will end on August 27, 2023.

The reductions in travel costs must be granted by the railroad service providers in their regular intercity modality and by the federal passenger transportation permit holders in the first and economic services.

Teachers and students will have to prove their status by showing the corresponding credential in force or, otherwise, by means of a certificate with the school seal, name and photograph of the holder and, if applicable, account or registration number.

The credentials with which the right to the discount may be accredited will be exclusively from the following educational institutions: those integrated to the education systems of the SEP; directorates or departments of education in the federal entities; National Autonomous University of Mexico; National Polytechnic Institute; universities throughout the Republic; Free Schools of Law, Commerce and Homeopathy; Colegio de Bachilleres; and schools incorporated to the aforementioned.
