65 companies participate in bidding for the first five Development Poles for the Wellbeing of the Interoceanic Corridor / @SE_mx >>>

#Economía.- The Ministry of Economy and the general management of the Inter-Oceanic Corridor of the Isthmus of Tehuantepec (CIIT) announced that 65 companies are participating in the bidding process for five of the 10 Development Poles for Well-Being (PODEBIS), which will bring development to the south-southeast of our country.

At a press conference accompanied by the governors of Oaxaca and Veracruz, Salomón Jara Cruz and Cuitláhuac García Jiménez, as well as the general director of the CIIT, Vice Admiral Raymundo Morales Ángeles, Secretary Raquel Buenrostro announced that the Interoceanic Corridor is of international interest and this has translated into 100 interested parties, and of these, 65 have concluded their process and registration. «There is a demand for each Pole of more than 30 businessmen».

The Minister of Economy indicated that Mexico is among the top five countries with the greatest attraction of investment worldwide. For this reason, the aim is to increase national production, not only by bringing in Foreign Direct Investment, but also by promoting and developing national suppliers.

He also said that when the CIIT is up and running, it will be contributing 3 to 5 percent of the national Gross Domestic Product.

«We are very happy because not only is a project that was conceived since the 19th century materializing, but it is going to be a trigger for economic development and welfare for the people of the southeast, where what we are looking for is to generate more jobs, better paid, decent wages and, in addition, companies committed to the community,» he said.
