#Atizapán, #Edoméx.- Treasurers and those responsible for the cadastres of 30 municipalities in the State of Mexico attended the CXXXVI Regional Tax Meeting, in its plenary session, held in Atizapán de Zaragoza by the Tax Institute of the State of Mexico (IHAEM).

This meeting was held at the Luis Nishizawa Cultural Center, where the Municipal President, Pedro Rodríguez Villegas recognized the interest of the attendees to continue preparing themselves, in addition to highlighting the work done by the municipalities to transcend by streamlining, making transparent and strengthening public finances.

Among the topics discussed were the fiscal and cadastral aspects of agrarian alienations, in addition to the updates of the tables of unitary land and construction values, which are the basis for strengthening municipal income.

According to data from the Municipal Treasury, in Atizapán de Zaragoza, these updates have allowed the municipal government to have additional resources to carry out infrastructure works, more and better public services and satisfy the needs of the community.

José Ortega Ríos, Treasurer of Atizapán de Zaragoza, detailed that during the 2022-2023 biennium the values were updated by 13.5%.

In addition, this has allowed the municipality of Atizapán de Zaragoza to increase its tax collection by 24% during the current administration.

«Works are the face of the government, that is the reality. A government that works represents public works and Atizapán de Zaragoza in that area stands out over many in the State of Mexico. For fiscal year 2022 we made a public investment of 678 million pesos, but for fiscal year 2023 we are also making an investment of 723 million. In the biennium in these two years we are making an investment of more than 1,400 million pesos» commented José Ortega Ríos, Treasurer of Atizapán de Zaragoza, in an interview after the activity.

«The coordinator of all this effort is, without a doubt, the Municipal President, who has integrated a group of professionals in the various agencies to lead and coordinate these efforts. The amalgamation of all these actions has resulted in the positioning that Atizapán de Zaragoza brings at state and national level, and has earned it several national and international recognitions».
