#GobiernoDeMéxico.- The Director General of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), Zoé Robledo Aburto, reported that 1,134 health units in 16 states incorporated into the IMSS Wellness Health Plan benefited from infrastructure conservation work and repairs to floors, ceilings, doors, bathrooms, perimeter walls, painting, among other improvements to guarantee quality medical services.
In a morning press conference with President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, he explained that the actions represented an investment of 2,578 million pesos.

Additionally, he said, 83 thousand 962 medical equipment were purchased, such as CT scanners, MRIs and X-rays, which required an investment of 10 thousand 44 million pesos.

The hiring of personnel reached 5,479 medical specialists, who contribute to the increase in productivity and coverage of general and specialty consultations, deliveries and surgeries, as well as the supply of medicines in Baja California Sur, Campeche, Colima, Guerrero, Hidalgo, Michoacán, Morelos, Nayarit, Quintana Roo, San Luis Potosí, Sinaloa, Sonora, Tamaulipas, Tlaxcala, Veracruz and Zacatecas, said the head of IMSS, accompanied by the Secretary of Health, Jorge Alcocer Varela.

The Undersecretary for Prevention and Health Promotion, Hugo López-Gatell Ramírez, indicated that cultural and sports activities encourage the development of the personality and the management of emotions in children and young people, which reduces the risk of addictions.

The National Addiction Prevention Strategy incorporated the Creative Seedbeds program of the Ministry of Culture, whose objective is to bring children and young people closer to free spaces for artistic and cultural expression.
