Discounts for teachers and students on transportation and railroads are in effect / @jorgenunol @SCT_mx >>>

#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) maintains in effect the 25% and 50% discounts for teachers and students, respectively, traveling by federal passenger transportation or railroad service during the current summer vacation period.

The fare reduction went into effect on July 27, when the vacation period established by the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) began, and will end on August 27, 2023.

Teachers and students will only have to show a valid school credential or, in its absence, a certificate issued by the school to which they belong, which must contain at least the name and seal of the school, name and photograph of the holder and, if applicable, account or enrollment number.

The credentials with which teachers and students must prove the right to the discount will be exclusively from the following educational institutions: those integrated to the education systems of the SEP; directorates or departments of education in the federal entities.

As well as the National Autonomous University of Mexico; the National Polytechnic Institute; universities throughout the Republic; institutes; free schools of law, commerce and homeopathy; Colegio de Bachilleres and schools incorporated to the aforementioned.
