More than 11,000 residents of Cuautitlán Izcalli join the municipality’s water conservation efforts / @KarlaFiesco @GobIzcalli >>>

#CuautitlánIzcalli, #Edoméx.- So far this year, 11,881 Izcallenses have joined the activities to raise awareness in their work and academic environments and in their neighborhoods about the care of water resources, carried out by the Water Culture Department of the Municipal Decentralized Public Organization for the Provision of Drinking Water, Sewerage and Sanitation Services (OPERAGUA).

Through workshops and talks, OPERAGUA seeks to consolidate the participation of users and organized society in the responsible use of water; therefore, during this year 123 activities have been carried out in the district: 71 workshops and 52 that were developed in educational institutions of preschool, primary, secondary and high school level, as well as business.

In this sense, educational and cultural dissemination events were carried out, with the distribution of recreational and didactic material, workshops or courses for capacity building or strengthening in water culture, as well as cleaning and maintenance of water tanks and cisterns, for which the Water Culture Department has visited several communities in Cuautitlán Izcalli.

This progress is intended to promote a change in the way water is managed and used, as well as to guarantee its availability, in addition to promoting awareness and the reasonable use of the resource.
