#EstadoDeBajaCalifornia.- The Colegio de Educación Profesional Técnica de Baja California (CONALEP BC) benefited 8 teachers from the Tijuana I and Tijuana II campuses, with a training entitled «Mexican Spanish», given by the Colegio de México (COLMEX).

The State Director of CONALEP BC, Irma Martinez Manriquez, highlighted the importance of strengthening the skills of the teaching staff and stressed the need to use pedagogical strategies as tools to facilitate the teaching and variety of Spanish words to students at their campuses.

The training was conducted through the Binational Migrant Education Program (PROBEM) of the Ministry of Education (SE), which managed to offer 30 teachers in the state, including 8 CONALEP BC schools, resources that include an application to use the dictionary of Spanish in Mexico (DEM), useful for teaching or updating grammar, as well as the use of the definitions and examples it contains.

In addition to this, the state coordinator of PROBEM, Yara Amparo López López, said that the application is totally free and can be consulted at the link https://dem.colmex.mx, and that with this type of course the teaching staff has the opportunity to access various platforms that allow them to develop support strategies in the teaching of Spanish as a second language.
