#GobiernoDeMéxico.- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador informed that the purchase of freight trains for the Tren Maya is about to be put out to tender. Meanwhile, all passenger convoys have already been contracted with Alstom.

During the integral report of sections 5, 6 and 7, presented in a morning conference, the general director of Tren Maya S.A. de C.V., Óscar David Lozano Águila, pointed out that the consolidation of 621.3 kilometers of railroad track in eleven municipalities of Quintana Roo and Campeche is progressing.
- Section 5 north, from Cancun to Playa del Carmen: records a physical progress of 43.22 percent in the consolidation of 43.3 kilometers of electrified double track on viaduct and embankment. To date, work is focused on the manufacture of 2,464 piers, 1,605 columns, 530 headers and 123 slabs on the elevated viaduct.
- Section 6, from Tulum to Chetumal: physical progress of 44.12 percent on 255.8 kilometers of electrified double track on embankment and viaduct; Army personnel are building five stations of the Mayan Train, bridges and elevated viaducts. In addition, they are building metallic structures for the catenary power supply system.
- Section 7, from Chetumal to Escárcega: physical progress of 44.11 percent. It has 254.5 kilometers of single track in cut and fill. Members of the Armed Forces are collaborating in the construction of structures for wildlife crossings and water crossings, as well as the stockpiling of strategic supplies.
