#EstadoDeMéxico.- The Governor of the State of Mexico, Alfredo Del Mazo Maza, the President of the Republic, Andrés Manuel López Obrador and the Governor-Elect Delfina Gómez Álvarez inaugurated the first stage of the Toluca-Mexico Interurban Train «El Insurgente», which, with a 20-kilometer route, will speed up the mobility of thousands of people who travel daily between the municipalities of Zinacantepec, Toluca, Metepec, San Mateo Atenco and Lerma.
At the Zinacantepec Station of this transportation system, the state governor pointed out that «El Insurgente» is the only one of its kind in Latin America and will place the state at the forefront of high-capacity public transportation.

Del Mazo Maza detailed that in its first phase «El Insurgente» will connect the municipalities of Zinacantepec, Toluca, Metepec, San Mateo Atenco and Lerma in a 20-kilometer route, passing through four stations.
«Today is the inauguration of this first stage with the four stations along five municipalities of the State of Mexico: Zinacantepec, Toluca, Metepec, San Mateo Atenco and Lerma,» he explained.
In the presence of Luisa María Alcalde Luján, Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez Velázquez, federal Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection and Rogelio Ramírez de la O, head of Finance and Public Credit (SHCP), Del Mazo Maza highlighted that the State of Mexico is also home to one of the most important infrastructure works of the federal administration, The «Felipe Ángeles» International Airport, a project in which the State Government worked jointly to improve its access and connectivity, and which today is one of the most important development poles in the north of the Valley of Mexico.
