Government of San Miguel de Allende strengthens «Fiestas Patronales» of the municipality / @MauricioTrejoP @GobMunicipalSMA >>>

#SanMiguelDeAllende, #Gto.- With deep respect for the traditions of the people of San Miguel de Allende, the Municipal Government continues to strengthen the «Fiestas Patronales» in San Miguel de Allende.

With a series of popular celebrations to the patron saint San Miguel Arcángel, highlighting its historical value for being one of the oldest traditions of the municipality and being from sanmiguelenses for sanmiguelenses, the Municipality presided by Mauricio Trejo is supporting all the organizing groups, through the Direction of Culture and Traditions, so that the preparations are ready and thus continue rescuing the traditions of the sanmiguelenses.

The «Fiestas Patronales» began last August 13 with the «Review of the Fiesta del Señor San Miguel», where the indigenous communities request permission from their Patron Saint and the souls of their ancestors to celebrate the festivities, they also walk a bull as an offering and make a tour from the neighborhood of Las Cuevitas, visiting the historic center, the parish, the markets and the cemetery of San Juan de Dios, where they perform a popular festival.

With this festivity, added to the «Reseña de la Alborada» where the traditional neighborhoods made a tour to the iconic parish in the historic center, the Best Small City in the World is ready for the great celebrations of its «Fiestas Patronales», which will start with the «Tradicionales Mañanitas» to San Miguel Arcángel at 00:00 hours on September 29th, followed by the «Mañanitas» to San Miguel Arcángel at 00:00 hours on September 29th, followed by the «Mañanitas» to San Miguel Arcángel at 00:00 hours on September 29th: 00 hours on September 29, followed by the «Recorrido y Celebración de la Alborada» during the early hours of Saturday, September 30, as well as the «Recolección y Tradicional Quema de Monos» in the afternoon of the same day and then the «Entrada de Ánimas y Xuchiles» which, with a magnificent journey from Calzada de la Estación to the center of the city, where indigenous and regional dancers will dazzle locals and visitors to witness the celebration in honor of the founder of the city: Fray Juan de San Miguel, to conclude with the presentation of a fireworks show.
