In Tecámac, ODAPAS concludes major maintenance work on the Santo Domingo Ajoloapan deep well / @MejorTecamac >>>

#Tecámac, #Edoméx.- Last Monday, informed Samuel Hernández Cruz, head of the Decentralized Public Organization for the Provision of Drinking Water, Sewerage and Sanitation Services (Odapas), that they began major maintenance work on the well that supplies the town of Santo Domingo Ajolopan, which involved dismantling the submersible equipment of this infrastructure.

«We extracted the pump that was 150 meters deep and, with the introduction of a video camera, we were able to verify the conditions (that they were adequate and operable) of the well.»

As part of the maintenance, added the head of ODAPAS, brushing and dusting was performed to remove solid minerals that adhere to the walls and reduce water extraction; a new pumping equipment will also be installed.

With these works we are going to recover 20% to 25% of the volume of water that is extracted and reaches the homes of our neighbors,» said Hernandez Cruz.

He also emphasized that the work will be completed in the next 24 hours and the service will be reestablished through the network this weekend.
