SEP promotes culture of peace, equality and human rights in higher education / @Letamaya @SEP_mx >>>

#SEP.- Through three regional meetings of the integral project Culture of peace, equality and human rights: rethinking the human, in charge of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) joins to promote in institutions of higher education (IES) of the country, actions that contribute to materialize a profound revolution of consciences with humanist roots, pointed out the Undersecretary of Higher Education of the SEP, Luciano Concheiro Bórquez.

He emphasized that these meetings allow to lay the foundations of a common language on human rights in HEIs, and underline the relevance of analyzing them from critical perspectives.

During the presentation of the campaign «#HazMásPaz» by the CNDH, Undersecretary Concheiro stressed that the objective is to invite to debate about the society we have and the role that each one plays, reflecting on a change in the reality that is lived through the culture of peace and dialogue on violence and exclusion.

He emphasized that SEP has responded to this call to collaborate in the crusade, together with higher education institutions and social organizations, by participating in the first regional meeting in the north of the country, which aims to broaden territorial perspectives and, with this, generate more joint collaboration networks in favor of more democratic and participatory cultures.

He pointed out that, at SEP, we are convinced that deepening human rights perspectives implies articulating policies and actions within each educational institution with processes of education, training and commitment to transform teaching and learning processes that involve all the actors that make up the educational communities.
