Pediatric Hospital of the CMN Siglo XXI of the IMSS guarantees medical attention to patients transferred from Guerrero / @zoerobledo @Tu_IMSS >>>

#IMSS.- The Pediatric Hospital of the Centro Medico Nacional (CMN) Siglo XXI, of the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), guarantees medical attention to patients who were hospitalized at the Hospital General Regional (HGR) de Zona No. 1 Vicente Guerrero, in Acapulco, who had to be transferred after the damage caused by Hurricane Otis.

Dr. Blanca De Castilla Ramirez, medical coordinator of the hospital’s accumulated shift, informed that 14 minors are already hospitalized and four more arrived yesterday, Sunday, to the Admission area, after being airlifted from Acapulco.

With this, this hospital of the Mexican Social Security Institute has received 18 of the 40 transfers that the Mexican Government has carried out to date from Guerrero.

«We are coordinating and clearing the Hospital Admission area to give them their arrival, when they are here to be able to provide them with the best care in a timely manner,» he said.

Social Security is working together with federal government authorities, the Health Secretariat’s Medical Emergency Regulatory Center, and the National Defense Secretariat (Sedena) to coordinate the transfer of patients from Acapulco to Mexico City.

The Pediatric Hospital of CMN Siglo XXI has received minors with various ailments, from premature newborns, perinatal asphyxia with tracheostomy, neurogenic bladder, tendon injuries, suspected appendicitis, among others.

In support of family members, the hospital provides them with breakfast, lunch and dinner, a dining area, and personal hygiene items such as soap, toothpaste and toothbrush.
