#SICT.- The Ministry of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) will pay compensation to community members affected by the construction of the La Pera-Cuautla highway in Morelos, in accordance with the provisions of the law, through the representatives duly authorized and accredited by the ejidatarios themselves.

In order to make the payment, agreements must be entered into with each of the ejidos, in accordance with article 205 of the Amparo Law, with the persons authorized by the general assembly of ejidatarios in accordance with articles 22 and 23 of the Agrarian Law.

To date, the plaintiff communal owners have not presented before the SICT the assemblies authorizing their representatives to sign the agreements and receive payment.

However, the agency has the appraisals and has already taken steps to make the payment by the end of November 2023.

The SICT in coordination with the Ministry of the Interior (SEGOB) will be attentive to achieve the subscription of the payment agreements with each one of the ejidos, with the formalities established by Law, since the agreements must be presented before the judicial authority, in order to consider the sentences as complied with and the Federal Government acquires the ownership of the land occupied by the highway.
